Robert Frey, MA, Ph.D.(cand., Psychology) Robert has a long singing history that spans the entirety of his life. He began performing while in grade school where he sang lead solo Gregorian Chants with a boys choir and a pipe organ in a large Catholic church. Having grown up in the south he learned the styles of Memphis R&B, Chicago Blues, Cajun, jazz, Gospel, and more. He grew up in a musical household, and his brother and sister are also singer/songwriters In his adult years he was involved in several performing choirs (including Gospel) and sang as a soloist in many Unity and Religious Science churches Over 18 years ago began leading devotional singing circles and Sufi dancing and started the first devotional singing group in San Diego that met every Sunday for two years straight. (It continues to this day.) He currently leads Sufi dancing regularly in San Diego and Los Angeles. He has also produced four tapes and CD’s including the highly acclaimed Opening to Love. In Robert’s own words he says “I WAS BORN TO SING!!!!” In addition to his accomplishments as a singer, Robert has been working with individuals as a counselor, therapist and healer. He has presented many hundreds of events, seminars, conferences, and retreats on numerous aspects of personal transformation, relationship and spiritual practice.
